Making Hibiscus Sun Tea w/ Strawberry + Ginger

Ingredients

  • 1 pitcher of water

  • a few teaspoons of dried hibiscus

  • approx. 1 inch ginger, minced

  • 3-4 plump strawberries

  • Optional: honey or homemade simple syrup

Recipe

Place dried hibiscus + minced ginger in tea infuser. Add to empty glass* pitcher (or mason jar) with strawberries.

Fill pitcher with water + set in direct sunlight. Allow hibiscus to steep + water to warm.

Tea should sit in the sun for 2-3 hours or until it has reached the desired rich color.

Optional: sweeten with honey or homemade simple syrup.

Serve. Give thanks + share with loved ones.

*Be sure not to use plastic. When plastic is heated (even by sunlight) it can causes carcinogens to leach from the plastic + into the water. To be safe, use glass!
